Event Details

Join us for an evening of scary stories with nationally acclaimed storyteller Jeff Doyle. After the storytelling, participants are invited to explore a spooky StoryWalk® designed for an older audience along the trail at Riverside Park. This event will take place outdoors at the Riverside Park Pavilion in downtown DeWitt. Storytelling begins at 7:30 pm but stop by as early as 7 pm to enjoy cider and doughnuts beforehand. Make sure to bring a flashlight!

This event is open to adults, teens, and older school-age children. In the event of rain the storytelling will be held at the DeWitt City Hall Community Room.

About Jeff:

Jeff started telling stories to kids around the campfire with his favorite tale, The Blue Ape. He soon became renowned amongst the campers for his scary storytelling gift. Before long, Jeff was writing and performing not just scary tales but wild, funny, and heartwarming stories as well. Stories that draw listeners, both young and old, into his world and makes his performances both compelling and memorable.

Jeff has been a featured teller at the National Storytelling Festival, is a National Storytelling Network Oracle award winner, a Moth story slam winner in Michigan, and a two-time Champion Liar. He is the founder of both the TBD Storytellers cohort and the annual Scary Storytelling Festival in Howell, Michigan.
