Event Details

Join us for the first session in our newest series, "Find Your Voice." This series is designed to empower adults and teens to use their own unique voices to advocate for issues that matter to them. We will hear from local leaders and community organizers who will discuss their work in advocacy and civics engagement. Participants will learn how to get involved and become more engaged with their communities.

On Wednesday, July 12, we will be joined by Lysne Tait, the Executive Director and co-founder of Helping Women Period. Helping Women Period is a local nonprofit organization that provides menstrual products and support for homeless and low-income people in mid-Michigan. During this session, Lysne will share her vast experience as a leader in the period poverty space. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions following the talk. Light refreshments will be provided.
