Join us for a historic walking tour of the City of DeWitt Cemetery led by DDL Board Member Wayne Summers. Participants will hear a brief history of the cemetery before visiting the graves of some prominent DeWitt residents and learning about their lives. Graves visited will include David and Eunice Scott, Randolph and Mary Strickland, Seth and Betsy Marvin, Martha Strickland Clark, Nellie Boyd, Oscar Johnson, and Kenneth Coin.
Wayne Summers is a long-time Board Member of both DeWitt District Library and the Clinton County Historical Society. He has been involved in local history efforts for many years.
Note: This walk will begin at the Section D sign on the north side of the cemetery and will cover approximately 100 yards over slightly uneven ground. Walking tours will take place at 10 am and 6:45 pm.
